Who Am I?

I am Carl Evans and  I am a regenerated Christian, ordained by God. I have spent most of my time seeking the true meaning of life from God, through Jesus Christ, with the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit. My communion with God provides me with increasingly greater understanding of His will, through His word; and through the leadership of the Holy Spirit that dwells in me.

My aim is to continue to grow closer to God daily—seeking perfection in the image of Christ Jesus; and to bring glory to His name by being a light to someone else who is traveling on a similar path.

I spent many years as a church musician and I often find inspiration in the words of hymns. One such hymn is “My Desire” by Thomas A. Dorsey. It says:

It’s my desire to do some good thing ev-ry day, It’s my desire to help the fallen by the way, It’s my desire to bring back those who’ve gone astray, It’s my desire to be like the Lord.

It’s my desire to bring some wand’rer to the fold, It’s my desire to shelter someone from the cold, It’s my desire to do Thy will as I am told, It’s my desire to be like my Lord.
